Staying Connected to the Word

This past Sunday, we finished the lesson on bearing fruit, with the main point being that the word of God produces fruit. How, in our busy lives, can we make time for the word of God? The best way is to be committed to daily reading and studying of the scriptures.
Below I have listed other tips/ideas:
1. Listen to the word on your ipod, Zune, CD, cassette, or 8 track.
2. Read a passage of scripture and pray; then journal about it.
3. Tape verses to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, beside your computer, or any place you will notice it. (A word of caution: the forehead of your spouse might seem like a good idea to you, but it isn’t.)
4. Get in or form a small group that studies the books of the Bible.
5. Talk about the scriptures while you are hanging out with other believers.
I am sure you can think of other ways to “stay” in the word, so please post your ideas.

  1. You can rewrite the Scriptures in your own words (rewrite and Psalm, write some part of Paul's letters like you were writing a letter to a friend).
